The memory of Elnora Sorey of Campbellton, Florida, who passed away on September 23, 2025 at the age of 90, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Capehart and Dixie Mae Trueblood; her husband Fred Sorey Sr.; her siblings, Sally Blue and Earnest Capehart; her sons, Eric Sorey and Reverend Henry Taylor; and her grandchild Zebulon Sorey.
She is survived by: her children, Albert Sorey (Catherine), Fred Sorey, Jr. (Gail), Terather Williams (Sylvester), Dixie Olds, Willie Lue Hodge (Lee Norris), Charles Curry (Cynthia), Linda Snell (Dallas), Lenora Young (William) and Benjamin Sorey (Dorothy); her brothers-in-law, Willie J. Bowden Sr. and Quintin Sorey (Mary Alice); her daughter-in-law Alice Taylor; her godson Reverend Henry Olds; her close friend Annie Ruth Hope; and her adoptive daughters, Mary Ann Williams, Aggie O. Curry and Yvonne Olds. She is also survived by great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the McKinnie Funeral Home - Campbellton (5304 Bowden Hill Rd, Campbellton, FL 32426). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the New Bethel C. M. E. Church (2487 FL-2, Campbellton, FL 32426).
