She is survived by: her children, Dexter Gilbert (Tracey) and Kristy Gilbert (Terrence); her grandchildren, Bo, Clay, Keynan, Coby and Dexi; her siblings, Christine, Mary Jean, Jodie (Mamie), Stevie (Jackie), Guy and Stephanie; her cousin Valerie; her friend Adrian Packer of Mobile, AL; her cousin Baldon C. Barkley of Atlanta, GA; and her special listening ear LaTesha Weatherington. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
