With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Barbara Anne O'Connor of Cape Coral, Florida, who passed away on December 4, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Barbara Anne may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Barbara Anne touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Roderick Cawley and Nora Cawley; her husband Maurice O'Connor; and her sons, John O'Connor and Michael O'Connor.
She is survived by: her children, Robert "Bob" O'Connor (Tara) of Cape Coral, Noreen McDermott of Cape Coral and Joe (Sheila) of Clermont, FL. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and many other extended family.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Fuller Metz Funeral Home (3740 Del Prado Blvd S, Cape Coral, FL 33904). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church (1922 SW 20th Ave, Cape Coral, FL 33991).
