Carol V Vargo Obituary

Carol Vargo, 68, of Cape Coral, Florida, passed away surrounded by her family on Sunday, May 12th, 2024.

Carol was born in Brooklyn, NY, on June 19th, 1955, to Gillio & Matilda Costanzo. She worked as a CNA in New York and Florida, before retiring in the year 2000. She was a proud New Yorker, and never missed a chance to remind you of where she was from. Carol moved from Brooklyn, NY to Long Island, NY to raise her family, and moved to Cape Coral, Florida in 2000. Carol loved spending time with family and friends and helping others. She had a unique ability to sense when people needed her help and touched many lives with her generosity and big heart. Her effortless ability to light up a room will be greatly missed.

Carol is predeceased by her parents Gillio & Matilda Costanzo and is survived by her beloved husband of 52 years, Steve Vargo, sisters, Lynn Cirillo and Mary Ann Clark, brother Thomas Costanzo, loving son Steven Vargo and wife Patricia Vargo, daughter and best friend, Pamela Effinger and husband Robert Effinger, most cherished grandsons Billy Kolkmeyer & Patrick Christensen, and adored great granddaughters Cataleya and Bellamy Christensen.

A Memorial Service will be held on May 17th, 2024, from 4:00 – 5:30 PM with a service to follow from 5:30-600 PM, at Fuller Metz Funeral Home, on 2740 Del Prado Blvd, Cape Coral, Fl, 33904.

Her life was a blessing, her memory a treasure, she is loved beyond words, and will be missed beyond measure.
