He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Wilson Gartrell and Mary Elma Gartrell (Brannon); his sister Mary "Sue" Frizzell (Gartrell) of Jacksboro; and his wife Wilma Jean Gartrell (Goodwin). He is survived by: his son David Gartrell of Santa Barbara; his grandson William; his son Ryan Gartrell of Cape Coral; his grandchildren, Nicholas, Haley and Jordan; and his great grandchildren, Gary and Wyntor.
