He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Edwin, UnaMae VanDyke and Carol Matheis; and his uncles, Joseph Matheis and Robert Lundin.
He is survived by: his wife Jessica Matheis (Grimes); his daughters, Gabriella and Emma Matheis; his parents, William Matheis and Lori Matheis (VanDyke); his in-laws, William and Lory Grimes (Foot); his sister-in-law Jeanne Young; his brother Kyle; his sister-in-law Kristi Matheis; and his niece Kalista Matheis. He is also survived by his girls, being the ultimate girl dad.
A celebration of life was held on Sunday, November 30th 2025 at the Next Level Church (269 SW 2nd Terrace, Cape Coral, FL 33991). Visitation was held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Lake Erie Church (1565 W 38th St, Erie, PA 16509).
