He was predeceased by: his former wife Janice Ritacco Travers; his parents, Gerard Travers and Gladys Butterfield Travers; and his siblings, Joyce Beckman (Tom) and Gerard "Paul" Travers.
He is survived by: his sister Gladys Anne O'Rourke (Jeff); his niece Eileen Gregware; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Ryan, Matthew and Samantha; his niece Denise McGillan (Matt); his daughter Tara Demoratz (Steven); his granddaughter Mary Beth Demoratz; and his close friend Elizabeth "Betty" Carter. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
