He was predeceased by: his parents, Spiro and Antoinette (Nina); his siblings, Alice Krizanich (late Joseph), Louis Vella (Arlene Moody) and George Vella (late Patsy); and his sister-in-law Connie Torgerson (Lorne).
He is survived by: his former wife Dolores Zammit; his wife Ann Lurie of Cape Coral, Florida.; his sons, Kenneth Vella (Eileen), Stephen Vella (Nancy), Michael Vella (Diane) and David Vella (Kathryn); his stepson David Lurie; his grandchildren, Andrea Matheny (Justin), Christopher Vella (Jeffrey Boyar), Matthew Vella (Rachel), Jennifer Keller (Adam), Joshua Vella (Kayla), Stephanie Meints (Jason), Jeffrey Vella (Kelly) and Stephen Vella; his stepgranddaughters, Alicia and Kristin Lurie; his great grandchildren, Zoey Keller, Anastasia Keller, Taylor Vella, Peyton Vella, Millie Vella and Olivia Vella; his siblings, Dolores Mulcahy (late James), Mary Fenech (late Angelo), Sam Vella, Rita Dunlop (Mort), Sylvia Oper and John Vella (Sandy); and his siblings-in-law, James Magestro (Patricia), Joseph Magestro (Dorothy), Grace Feller (late Raymond) and Carmen Sobczak (Art). He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
