He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward and Patricia (Ryan); and his brother Brian. He is survived by: his wife Toni (Thorn); his son Patrick; his stepdaughter Toni Deacon; his granddaughters, Autumn Klauba (Andrew) and Madison Freeman; and his siblings, John (Andrea), Terry (Vicki), Michael, Daniel (Kathleen), Mary Tibble (Douglas) and Eileen Kaleta (Larry). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
