With sadness, we share the passing of Philomena Vitale of Cape Coral, Florida. Philomena, born on November 28, 1932 in Newark, New Jersey, passed away on September 9, 2026. Family, friends, and acquaintances remember Philomena for her warmth, thoughtfulness, and the moments shared together. She was predeceased by: her parents, Natale Zinni and Victoria Zinni; her husband John Vitale; and her daughter Carol Ann Gena. She is survived by: her children, John Vitale (Marybeth) of Punta Gorda and Sandra Lee Cappuccio (Michael) of Woodbridge; her son-in-law Michael Gena of Millstone; and her sister Ann Pagano of North Carolina. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home (1589 Colonial Blvd, Fort Myers, FL 33907). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
