She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Cruz Rivera and Matilde Rosario; her husband Juan Ortiz-Medina; her son Juan A. Ortiz-Rivera (Albert); her daughter-in-law Lisa Marie Ortiz-Rivera; and her grandchildren, Blazer, Leyna, Aspen and Leo.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Rosa's honor to benefit her beloved church community.
