He was predeceased by: his parents, Elizabeth Broadbent and William Broadbent; his son William Edward Broadbent; and his brothers, John and Richard Broadbent.

He is survived by: his wife Lucy Broadbent of Cape Coral; his daughter Jessica Downs (Brian) of Phoenix, AZ; and his siblings, Alfred Broadbent (Virginia) of Cortez, FL and Elizabeth Gray (Edward) of Ocean City, NJ. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
