He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Compton and Vera Fardell Compton; and his sister Valenia Colvin. He is survived by: his wife Elaine Hollandsworth Compton; his children, Jo Ann Butcher, Mary Thomas, Susan Myers (Scott), Dena Rowell (Joey) and Brian White; his sisters, Sue Spencer, Agnes Beavers, Fern Flitz, Myrna Moore (Roger), Cathy Elam, Lois Ely and Debbie Howells; his brother-in-law John Colvin; and his close friends, Spencer and Olivia Massey. He is also survived by six granddaughters, one grandson, six great-granddaughters, and four great-grandsons.
