We are sad to announce that on August 9, 2025, at the age of 81, Jimmie Davis Sr. of Century, Florida passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer J. Davis and Nellie Dove Davis. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Godwin Davis of Davisville; his children, Jimmie Douglas "Doug" Davis Jr. (Jeannine) of Brooksville, Brian Davis (Susie) of Walnut Hill, Karen Jay (Frank) of Atmore and Kay Ashcraft Cook (Brad) of Daphne, Alabama.; his brother Lawrence "Bobby" Davis of Hubbard's Landing, Alabama.; his grandsons, Jason Whitfield, Travis Ashcraft, Alex Davis, John Wesley Cook and Shane Fitzgerald; his great-nephew John Davis III; and also Bird. He is also survived by Seven Grandchildren, three great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 22nd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, August 23rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel (1322 S Main St, Atmore, AL 36502).
