He was predeceased by: his parents, William Ray Simmons and Katie Bell Simmons; and his brother Ray Charles Simmons. He is survived by: his wife Conchita Simmons; his children, Maurice Colson, Patrinda Jones and Ja'Mya Jones; his grandchildren, Khayden Jackson, Khi'Mori Lamb, Kham'Ryn Pennick, Parker Davis, Prinveton Davis, Kenai Colson, Khole Jones, Camaria Clemons and Khay'lnn Passmore; his grandfather Deacon Sol Berry; his sisters, Marilyn Thomas and Melissa Simmons Ward; Katie Bell Simmons. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
