He is survived by: his wife Joyce Herndon; his daughter Brenda; his son-in-law Bruce; his son Paul; his granddaughters, Brandi (Brandon) and Brooke (Stuart); his great grandchildren, Cathryn and Charlotte; and his sisters, Mary Buie, Lena Patterson and Lorraine Register (Larry). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Visitation was held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church (503 Main St, Chattahoochee, FL 32324).
