He was predeceased by: his parents, Beacy Jack Adams and Lillie Mae Patterson Adams; his wife Jane Alford Adams; his son Steven Leon Adams; and his brother Thomas Paul Adams.

He is survived by: his sisters, Virginia Rosamond Hancock (Bruce Hancock) and Bettina Bankhead. He is also survived by extended family members and friends.
