Maple Collins Obituary
We are sad to announce that on July 22, 2025, at the age of 89, Maple Collins of Chiefland, Florida passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Maple had on those he encountered along his journey. Though Maple may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Arvie Collins (Cannon) and Julius C. Collins; his wife Mary Francis Dunn; his daughters, Elizabeth and Laurie; his son-in-law Larry; his grandchildren, Francisco, Lauren and Alejandro Alvaro; and also Francisco. He was also cherished by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Weems & Sons Funeral Homes - Chiefland (715 W Park Ave, Chiefland, FL 32626). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Cedar Key Cemetery.
