He was predeceased by: his parents, Foyster Brookins and Parnie Ester Cason Brookins; his former wife Mary Brookins; his siblings, Aleta Schnitker, Emma Belle Townsend and Herschel Brookins; and his brother-in-law George Coleman (Laura Brookins).
He is survived by: his children, Deborah Brookins Davis (Richard) and Loran Brookins (Paige); his stepdaughters, Roxanne Shirvan (Danny Lufkin), Rachel McQueen (Tommy), Regina Goss (Bruce) and Jacqueline Williams; his grandchild Ryan Anderson (Shelly); his caregivers, Chase Brookins and Blayne Brookins (Melissa); his stepgrandchildren, Kian Shirvan, Leah Almeida, Sarah Cantrell, Francisco Almeida, Franco Elijah Almeida, Caley Williams and Hayden Williams; his great grandchildren, Madison Anderson, Cooper Brookins and Emmitt Brookins; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Elijah Cantrell, Dorian Fournier, Emilia Fournier, Aubrey Weatherford, Declan Fortner and Asa Chavous; and his sister Betrenda Mims (AJ). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
