He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Nell Peacock Gilbert; his sons, Cliff Gilbert of Lynn Haven, FL, John Gilbert (Nancy) of Chipley, FL and Ralph Gilbert of Dallas, TX.; his grandchildren, Cindy Kriser (Clair) of Chipley, FL, Ben Gilbert (Kim) of Chipley, FL, Calie Bowen (Casey) of Chipley, FL and Crystal Gilbert of Lynn Haven, FL.; his great grandchildren, Lauren Stoutamire, Sarah McDaniel, Vincent Kriser, Shelby White, Chloe Gilbert, Clarissa Evans and Keelan Bowen; and his great great grandchildren, Reid, Beckett, Raylan, Willow, Zeddie, Clair Vincent and Luna.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 25th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Oakie Ridge Baptist Church (2971 Gilberts Mill Rd, Chipley, FL 32428). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 25th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Sunday, October 25th 2026 at the Oakie Ridge Cemetery (2984 Gilberts Mill Rd, Chipley, FL 32428).
