She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Chatham and Annie Laurie Chatham; and her brother Carl Wayne Chatham. She is survived by: her husband Alton M. Phillips of Chipley, Florida; and her children, Alton "Phil" Phillips Jr. (Cheryl) of Huntsville, James Phillips (Nicole) of McComb, Stephen Phillips of Charlotte and Stephanie Gainey (Malcolm) of Cottondale, Florida. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the First Baptist Church (1300 South Blvd, Chipley, FL 32428). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
However, donations may be made to The Gideons International or Samaritan's Purse in Carol's honor.
