She was predeceased by: her parents, Leslie Harrell and Lillian Harrell (Sapp); her husband John McElligott; and her daughter Mary Gay Bateham. She is survived by: her children, Vanessa Strickland (Daniel) and Harry Hammond (Debbie); her sisters, Nina Brown and Vicki Diaz; and her grandchildren, Jonathan Hammond (Jennifer), Jessica Sovel (James), Jameson Hammond, Sarah Short (Clint) and Colton Bateham. She is also survived by nine great grandchildren.
