With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Richard Lauren Shaw of Choctaw Beach, Florida, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 19, 2026 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Leon M. Shaw and Esther V. Shaw; his wife Martha Shaw; his siblings, Edith Powell, Roy Shaw, Leon Shaw and Dornald Shaw; his stepson Gary Ayers; his grandchildren, Ricky Ayers and Julie Melton; and his son-in-law Ernie Shillingburg.
He is survived by: his sister Viola Thomson; his daughter Donna Householder (Gary); his stepchildren, Rufus Ayers and Judy Shillingburg; and his grandchildren, Eric Cantrell, Blake Overman, Lauren Householder, Jennifer Miller, James Ayers and Joshua Ward. He is also survived by many great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
