He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles William and Victoria Mahan Bush; his former wife Joan Walters Bush; his son Scott Michael Bush; and his siblings, Charles Bush, David Bush, Foster Bush and Freda Bush Wheeler.

He is survived by: his wife Ida Ann Harmon Bush; his sons, George Allen Bush of Citra and Steven R. Bush of Citra; his grandsons, Andrew J. Bush (Samantha) of Proctorville and Zachary R. Bush of Gulfport; his great grandchildren, Sophia Jean Bush of Joliet and Zachary Bush Jr. of New Orleans; his stepchildren, James Harmon Jr. of Joliet, Estella Rosales of Silver Springs, William Franklin Harmon (Sylvia) of Citra, Kasey Harmon of Joliet, Phillip Harmon of Joliet and Janell Shehan (Allen) of Silver Springs; and his siblings, Clarabelle Roach of Gallipolis, Anna Mae Kroger of Indian Lake, Carl Bush (Barbara) of Kettering, Ervin Bush of Patriot and Russell Bush of Patriot, Ohio..
