It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Annis Merrell Godwin (Clearwater, Florida), who passed away on March 27, 2022, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lewis Merrell and Mary Merrell; her siblings, Terrell Merrell, Robert Merrell, Jimmy Merrell and Rhonda Patterson; and her daughter-in-law Joan Godwin.
She is survived by: her children, Jane Anne Myers (John Levitsky) of Safety Harbor and David Emory Godwin of Palm Harbor; her brother Elden Merrell of Ardmore; and her grandchildren, Vanessa Hall (Shane Irby) of Dade City, Andrew Godwin of Washington, DC and Ashley Godwin of Tampa. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In place of flowers, the family asks that donation be made to Sylvan Abbey UMC.
