She was predeceased by: her husband Martin J. Hughes, Jr.; her sons, Marty and Tim; her grandson Keith Hughes; her parents, George Olmstead and Myrtle Olmstead; her half-brother Kenneth Welchel; her nephew Gerald Olmstead, Jr.; and her siblings-in-law, Robert Hughes, Michael Hughes and Eileen Adams.

She is survived by: her daughters, Lynda Anderson (Steve) of Richmond, Irene Kretschmar (Skip) of Utopia and Cheryl Lamoureux (Ernie) of Clearwater; her brother Gerald Olmstead (Shirley) of Mt. Vernon; and her siblings-in-law, Kathy Tone (Mike) of Tillamook, Carol Hughes of Gig Harbor and Curtis Adams of Coos Bay, Oregon.. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
