With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Charles Altepeter (Clearwater, Florida), born in Virgil, Illinois, who passed away on July 18, 2019 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Altepeter and Adele Altepeter (Zang); his wife Helen Anderson; his son Harold; his granddaughter Carol; and his son-in-law Michael Delaby.

He is survived by: his children, Edward (Lori), Joseph, John (Toni), Frank (Karen), Tina Altepeter, Michelle Schaefer (Therrell) and Lisa Delaby; his siblings, Joseph (Pat), Henry (Betty) and Mary Ann Leake (Jack); and his grandchildren, Mandi, Bradley, Matthew, Richard, Brandon, Nicole, Amber, Roxann, Shane, Chaz, Ashley, Nathaniel and Christopher. He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren.
