He was predeceased by : his wife Joan Frances Bauer; his parents, Joseph Bauer and Ann Bauer; his parents-in-law, Frank and Aretta Percin; his son Thomas Bauer; his sisters, Mary Lou, Cleo, Barbara and Joann; and his daughter-in-law Deborah Bauer.

He is survived by : his children, Diane Flores (Arthur) of Cambridge, WI, Stephen Bauer (Amelia) of Murrells Inlet, SC, Mark Bauer (Susan) of Paradise Valley, AZ, Robert Bauer of Casa Grande, AZ and Angela Bauer of Palm Harbor, FL; his grandchildren, Adrian Flores, Ryan Flores, Philip Bauer (Theresa), Kevin Bauer, Madelaine Bauer, Clark Bauer, Samantha Ostrander, Alex Bauer, Gage Bauer and Neidrich; his great grandchildren, Kian Bystol Flores, Sage Flores, Stella Rose Flores, Jackson Bauer and Avery Ostrander; and his brothers-in-law, Frank Percin of Livonia, MI and Fred Galbraith of Cohoctah, MI. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and close friends.

A funeral service was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Luke the Evangelist Catholic Church (2757 Alderman Rd, Palm Harbor, FL 34684). A burial was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery (5233 118th Ave N, Clearwater, FL 33760).
