He was predeceased by: his daughter Patricia Hanson; and his parents, Harry and Grace. He is survived by: his wife Mary; his sons, Robert Hanson (Giselle) and John Hanson (Ann); and his grandchildren, Abigail, John, Sierra, Mia, Lila, Hunter and Olympian.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 15th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home (201 N Northwest Hwy, Palatine, IL 60067). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, January 16th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Thomas of Villanova Catholic Church (1201 E Anderson Dr, Palatine, IL 60074).
