It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Donald L. Betts (Clearwater, Florida), who passed away on June 27, 2022, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, William L. Betts and Anna M. Betts (Powell); his brothers, Powell H. Betts (Dorothy) and Willis I. Betts (Augusta); and his nephew William Betts.

He is survived by: his nephew Don Betts; his niece Carole L. Piemonte; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Marie Piemonte, Theresa Piemonte, Michelle Bostian, Stacy Burkhart, Joseph Piemonte and Brian Betts. He is also survived by numerous great-great nieces and nephews, and their children.

He looked after her for the next seven years until they both were hospitalized with COVID-19 in 2020. After surviving COVID-19, he remained independent, staying active and mobile until two weeks before his passing.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America or American Legion Charities, Inc.
