She was predeceased by: her parents, Emil Louis and Gena Louis; her husband Donald Drung; and her sister Norma Checko. She is survived by: her children, Brenda Peters (Lindsey) and Randall Drung (Yulia); her grandchildren, Joshua Freeman, Morgan Palermo, Mallory Drung and Michael Drung; and her sister Gertrude "Gertie" Amlee. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Doris' memory to First Lutheran Church and School.
