He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Pirkl and Emma "Dlouhy" Pirkl; his sisters, Evelyn Lippmann and Mary Ann Dvorak; his siblings-in-law, Ernie Dvorak Jr., Cloyd "Pete" Petro, Everett "Pick" Pickerill and Mardy Pickerill; Bernice Pirkl.
He is survived by: his daughter Julia "Julie" Pirkl; his wife Jan; his sister-in-law Marcia "Pickerill" Petro; and his sibling's children, Kevin Dvorak (Janelle), Craig Dvorak (Rachel), Jeff Dvorak (Julie), Larry Lippmann, Loren Lippmann (Melissa), Doug Petro (Jen), Lynn Brooks (George) and Lori Morris (Greg).
