She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Rufus Sr. Burgess and Mary Burgess (McCrea); her husband Louis Verndell Evans; her daughters, Andrea Evans-Dixon (Fred) and Alicia Evans; her grandchildren, Arquis Anthony Reynolds, Alaina Wade and Alaisha Wade; her siblings, Estelle Blanding (Richard), Leola Wilson (Wille), Mary Frances Bufkin, Rufus Burgess, Jr. (Queen) and Raymond Burgess (Isabelle); and her sisters-in-law, Ruby Singletary, Virginia Miller, Mary Williams and Rovanna Joyce Kendrick (Frank). She was also cherished by loving nieces, nephews, and friends.
