He was predeceased by: his wife Thoula; his parents, Sotirios and Aikaterini; and his siblings, Gus, Haralambos, Stavros and Polixeni Pliakos.
He is survived by: his sister Sophia Lianos of Greece; his sisters-in-law, Sophia Panos and Katina Kotsis; his sibling's children, John Margeas (Tina), Sam Margeas, Thom Panos (Donna), Peter Panos (Miranda), Dimitri Kotsis and Demetra Margellos (Tim); his godchildren, Dr. Mike Raphtis, Johnny Demetroulis, Bill and Alison Haggerty; and his caregivers, Eleni and Vasili. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces, cousins and dear friends.
