She was predeceased by: her parents, Guy Hudson and Elsie Schreiter Hudson; and her husband Richard Rothenberger Shelly. She is survived by: her sons, Alan and Albert; her sister Dolores Hoermann; her sons, Carl Hudson Shelly (Lynn) of Pittsburgh, PA and David Hudson Shelly (Patricia) of Palo Alto, CA; her grandchildren, Benjamin, Jonathan (Morgan), Nicholas (Jacinda), Emily (Matthew Penner) and Elizabeth (Joseph Podnar); and her great grandchildren, Ada and Caliope.
