She was predeceased by: her parents, James Carroll Embrey and Elsie Embrey; and her son Terrell. She is survived by: her son James; her granddaughters, Amanda Drake (Matt), Amber Grimes and Katherine James (Steven); and her great grandchildren, Xavier (Jady), Carlie, David Jr., Sarenity, Eliana and Nora.
In lieu of flowers, Peggy requested that donations be made in her memory to the Johns Hopkins All Children's Foundation (P.O. Box 3142, St. Petersburg, FL 33731-3142), or to the First Baptist Church of McDonough (101 Macon Street, McDonough, GA 30253).
