He was predeceased by: his parents, James Earl and Ruth Frances Walker Boyd; and his brothers, Jimmy Boyd, Carl Boyd, David Boyd and Bobby Boyd.
He is survived by: his brother Donald Boyd (Ann) of Fayetteville, Tennessee. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
