He was predeceased by: his parents, Katherine Quinlan and Perry Quinlan; his sister Gail Logan (Carl); his grandson Paul Quinlan; his sister-in-law Catherine Quinlan; and his daughter-in-law Nancy Quinlan.

He is survived by: his wife Clearwater; his children, Jim Quinlan (Yvonne), Jerry Quinlan, Jeffrey Quinlan and Janice Ryan; his brother James Quinlan; and his grandchildren, Jeffrey Quinlan (Erin), Joey Ryan and Nicole Ryan (Kyle). He is also survived by many extended family members and dear friends.
