He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Benedict Joseph Maguire Jr. and Helen Maguire (McGarry); his wife Claire Maureen Tanabe; his children, Christina Poynter (Jeff), Collin, Ryan Galinas and Elizabeth Lack (Erik); his granddaughters, Emma, Ava and Amelia; and his siblings, Robert Maguire, Joseph Maguire, Maryellen Eisen and Grace Lind. He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He enjoyed a successful business career and looked forward to retirement, only to be diagnosed with cancer at age 60. In spite of this terrible disease, he lived life to the fullest. His greatest joy was his family, Claire, Christina and Elizabeth. He loved a good party, fine dining, and a good bottle of wine. God Bless Ben. Glenn Gabel”
