He was predeceased by: his daughter Tammy Lashay Purvis; his stepdaughter Jennifer Star Greenfield; his father Paul B. Purvis; his siblings, Shirley, Vivian, Dinah, Paul (Buddy), James (Buck), Robert, Milton, Joe and Richard; and his stepchildren, Heather, Aaron, Nathan, Amber and Josh.
He is survived by: his wife Janie; his mother Mary Jane; and his siblings, Annette, Janie, Polly and Curtis. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
