She was predeceased by: her husband Feely Prater; her parents, Ben Gearheart and Frona Gearheart; her son Terry Prater; her daughter-in-law Patsy Prater; and her siblings, Noma Bishop, Gertrude Howard, Burnice Gearheart, Wilma Combs, Iola Little, Loretta Parker, Eleanor Davis and Shelah DeRossett.
She is survived by: her children, Terrell Vance Prater (Patsy), Kathy Lynn Van Marter (John), Benjamin Franklin Prater (Teresa) and Dale Ray Prater; and her granddaughter Melissa Tittle (Eric).
