He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Jim Mellon and Carol Mellon; his sisters, Peggy Fernandez (Carlos) and Patti Scott (Eric); his brother-in-law Lucien Johnson (Lynn); and his nieces and nephews, Lucien Johnson (Caroline), Caroline Fernandez, Erin Taylor (Boyce) and Griffin Johnson. He was also cherished by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and lifelong friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Bishop Moore Catholic High School Guardian Angel Endowment Fund in memory of Jim Mellon.
