With sadness, we share the passing of James Monroe Barnard of Clermont, Florida. James Monroe, born on February 13, 1934, passed away on June 15, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Betty Barnard; his parents, Lewis J. Barnard and Zoie Strickland Barnard; and his siblings, L. J., McKinley, Thomas J. Barnard, Beatrice Crosby, Jewell Hardee and Mildred Brewer.
He is survived by: his daughters, Karen B. Jones (Randy) and Michele B Pines (Greg Amann); his grandchildren, Bryan Bowerman (Tina), Jonathan Bowerman (Colleen), Sierra B Patterson (Richard) and Hayley P. Ames (Cameron); his great grandchildren, Mia B Farr, Roan D Patterson, Natalia, Isabella and Lucas Bowerman; and his sister Earnestine Dixon. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that. Memorial donations be given in Monroe's name to Ferndale Baptist Church/Sugarloaf Church and The Neighborhood Center of South Lake.
