He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Schwarz and Annie Schwarz; his siblings, Edna Gilligan, Joan O'Reilly, Mildred Irwin, Mary Savage and Walter Schwarz; his son Jerrold Schwarz; and his granddaughter Anna M. Schwarz (Nancy).
He is survived by: his wife Retha Mae; his children, John Schwarz (Beverly), Mary Ellen Gaul, James Schwarz and Anne Marie Matteo (Guy); his grandchildren, J. R. Schwarz (Christine), Brianne Totsch (Andrew), Kenneth Gaul (Erin), Elizabeth Gaul, Christian Schwarz, Michael Matteo and Michele Matteo; and his great grandchildren, Allison, Amelia Schwarz, Alexander and Evan Totsch.
