He was predeceased by: his wife Iris; and his grandson Kyle MacDonald. He is survived by: his children, Doreen (Alistair MacDonald), Chris (Helen Roopnarain), Anand (Lila Roopnarain) and Haro (Babsy Roopnarain); and his grandchildren, Gavin (Vashti Roopnarain), Mervin (Annesa Roopnarain), Fraser MacDonald, Ethan Roopnarain, Andrew Roopnarain and Alyssa (Mike Zalewski).
