He was predeceased by : his parents, Harry Sweet and Mable Sweet; and his siblings, Jennie Walker, Darrell Sweet, Janet Powell and Marion Hall.

He is survived by : his children, Charles Sweet, Jr., Cheryl Sweet and James Sweet; and his siblings, Brenda Walker, Jimmy Sweet, Gloria Boone and Marcella Braxton.
