He was predeceased by: his parents, William Tillman Stitt and Christova Sawyer Stitt; his sister Elizabeth Stitt Johnstone; and his daughter Melissa Stitt. He is survived by: his wife Sandra Willis Stitt; his daughters, Jennifer Stitt Mays (Steve Mays) and Rachel Stitt DeMay (David DeMay); and his grandchildren, Madison DeMay, Luke Mays, Allison Mays and Jackson DeMay.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 16th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Ridgelawn Cemetery (1167 E Sugarland Hwy, Clewiston, FL 33440).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the First Methodist Church of Clewiston.
