With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Christopher Jay Sodoma (Cocoa, Florida), who passed away on March 17, 2026 at the age of 70. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Sodoma and Elizabeth Dewey Sodoma; his stepmother Nancy Sodoma; and his siblings, Pamela Lyons Garland and Tracey Sodoma Smalls.
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Mirguet; his sons, Matthew Sodoma (Sarah) and Joseph; his stepson Evan; his former wife Lori Dixon Carey (Matthew); his grandchildren, Eliza Sodoma, Walter Sodoma and Luca Sodoma; his great grandchild Naomi Sodoma; his stepgrandchildren, Kayden Spratt, Ireland Spratt, Nevaeh Mccaslin and Silas Spratt; his pet Luna; and his siblings, Jill Sodoma Rupp, John Sodoma Jr., David Lyons, James Lyons and Kathy Lyons Egan.
Ultimately, he spent the majority of his career as a dedicated nurse clinician at the Iowa Veterans' Home, notably refusing to retire when they needed him most during the COVID-19 pandemic.
