With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joan Tutan of Coral Gables, Florida, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 23, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Donald Florence and Eleanor Hess Florence; her husband George "Victor" Tutan; and her brother Richard Florence. She is survived by: her children, Lynn Tutan, Jeff Tutan (Cindy) and Jill Cataldo (Luis); her grandchildren, Courtney Mohammadi (Jeff), Whitney Engelke, Alex Hetu (Ryan), Samantha Brundage (Ben) and Jake Tutan; her great grandchildren, Eleanor Mohammadi, Nina Hetu, Ava Brundage and Sacha Hetu; her nieces, Cathy Tutan Eller and Mary D'Agnese; her nephew Bruce Florence Jr.; her sister-in-law Anna Florence; and her caregivers, LaTanya Ballock and Bernice Young.
Joan faced Parkinson's disease with courage for thirteen years. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Parkinson's Foundation in her honor.
