He was predeceased by: his sister Jayne Sherrill Flynn; and his father David Lorenzo Sherrill. He is survived by: his siblings, David Lorenzo Sherrill (Charlotte) and Karen Sherrill Hucks; his nieces, Heather Flynn Odeh (Rami) and Sheryl Flynn (Chris Ashford); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Hana Jayne Odeh and Ryan Farouk Odeh; and his cousins, Carolyn "Bee" Sirkin, Beth Durner and Catherine Durner Ball. He is also survived by children, along with many extended family and close friends.
A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 at 9:00 AM and at 10:00 AM at the St. Augustine Catholic Church (1400 Miller Rd, Coral Gables, FL 33146).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Russell's memory to the Missionaries of Charity, an organization he held close to his heart, reflecting his lifelong commitment to faith, humility, and service to others.
